SPECIFICATIONS
This is a FBCAA member-only show. Members may submit up to 3 works of art. All current members must meet our guidelines to have their artwork displayed in the gallery. To become a member go to www.fbcart.org to pay annual dues.
All media accepted. (2-D only)
Only original art will be accepted. No digital reproductions of paintings, drawings or prints will be accepted. No AI generated work will be accepted.
All artwork must be family-friendly, that is no nudity, political statements, or religious images/messages will be allowed.
No collaborative artworks. All art submitted must be an original composition of an individual artist.
Artwork submitted may not have been created in an instructional setting, or under the supervision of another artist including but not limited to workshops and art classes.
Gallery wrapped canvas depth 1.5 must be neatly painted on all sides. Gallery wrapped canvases 1.5 inches in-depth pay or may not be framed, if not framed must be painted on all sides. Any canvas less than 1.5 inches in depth must be framed. All watercolor and/or any work on paper must be appropriately framed.
All pieces must be properly wired for hanging with D rings and wire with ends covered to avoid injury when handling. Wire must be at least 3 inches below the top of the artwork when hung.
Sawtooth, uniframe or cleat hangers are not acceptable. .
Artwork on metal cannot have sharp edges. If they do, they must be framed.
Attach a label with artist name, phone number and title of work on the back of the artwork.
Artwork must be submitted and picked up during the designated times. No exceptions. Walk in will not be accepted. FBCAA does not have the ability to store artwork. If you are unable to pick up your artwork, make arrangements for someone to pick up on your behalf. Notify the curator in advance that arrangements have been made, providing the name of the person delivering and/or picking up your artwork. (Artwork not picked up at the pick up date and time is subject to a daily storage fee of $1.00 per day payable to FBCAA.)
Any special requirements for hanging or displaying artwork must be approved by the curator IN ADVANCE of submission deadline.
FBCAA reserves the right to reject any works not meeting eligibility requirements or deemed inappropriate even after the image has been accepted.
For exhibits installed on permanent walls, works no larger than 48” wide on either side accepted to allow for maximum participation of members. For exhibits installed in temporary panels such as pro panels or portable guided system works no larger than 18×24 (without frame) will be accepted. Larger works may be accepted at the curator’s discretion. Contact the curator for details IN ADVANCE of submission deadline.
If your art sells during this show, it must remain as part of the exhibit until the end of the exhibit. All sales are handled through FBCAA. The artist will be paid 70% for the sale by FBCAA. FBCAA maintains 30% commission.
ENTRY PROCEDURES
Fee: $20.00 Payable online via FBCAA website.
Submit up to 3 images via the FBCAA website. Image file name must be as follows. Title - first initial, last name. For example: Creekside Morning - K Antao
The Description is limited to 30 words. Your statement should only be about how your artwork relates to the theme. You may include artist’s statement if the exhibit does not have a theme.(Count the words and spellcheck before submitting.)
Verified member artists may enter up to 3 pieces of art.
Not a FBCAA Member? Become a member on the FBCAA website. Complete the two-step process of paying the Membership Fee. *Remember you must also submit the entry fee for this exhibition.
NO WALK- IN ENTRIES ACCEPTED. NO EXCEPTIONS.
IMAGE REQUIREMENTS:
Include an image of your artwork. Name the image file using the following format: Title - first initial last name.jpg (Creekside Morning - K Antao) Please submit images in .jpeg format only. No .png or .pdf images will be accepted. Do not include frame in your image.
2D artwork must be photographed without frames, in focus and level. This is your chance to shine, photograph your artwork to its best advantage.
Please limit the size of your images to 1MB or less. The images will be used for an online exhibition on the FBCAA website (www.fbcart.org) and for marketing purposes as needed.
